Thankfulness: Day 16

I had jury duty today. I sat and sat and sat and eventually made it to the jury box. I was struck by the prosecution so didn’t have to serve, but I am thankful for those who did. It’s not fun to have to spend hours sitting around doing nothing, and it’s kind of a pain to contemplate moving your whole schedule around in the event you are picked to serve on a jury, but it’s way worse to be tried for a crime by a jury of your “couldn’t come up with a reason to get out of this” peers.
