Mother’s Day 2014

Mike and Michaela gave me the most wonderful Mother’s Day celebration yesterday. I got to sleep in (after getting home at 2:30 from a Morrissey concert in LA, I definitely needed a late start), then went to brunch with a dear friend before coming home for a nap. The weather was beautiful as we sat in a bay front restaurant, chatting and laughing and eating like crazy.

My favorite part of the day was the gift I got from Michaela. Mike helped her make a sweet book of works and pictures that describe/show her favorite things to do with me. It was very touching.

Michaela has really enriched my life, and while I recognize that every day, days like yesterday bring it home even more. I’m so lucky!
